I’m currently reading a book by Phillip Mauro; Ruth, The Satisfied Stranger. These are some thoughts it stirred, beginning with verses quoted in the book.
The Lord raised up judges which delivered them out of the hand of those that spoiled them. And yet they would not hearken unto their judges, but they went a whoring after other gods. They turned quickly out of the way which their fathers walked in, obeying the commandments of the Lord; but they did not so. (Judg. 2:16-17)
The book of judges chronicles a period of base ingratitude and gross apostasy of the people of Israel. We find the period summarized in Psalm 106.
They did not destroy the nations concerning whom the Lord commanded them; but were mingled among the heathen and learned their works. And they served their idols, which were a snare unto them. Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils, and shed innocent blood of their sons and their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan, and the land was polluted with blood. Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions.
Therefore was the wrath of the Lord kindled against His people, insomuch that He abhorred His own inheritance. And He gave them into the hand of the heathen; and they that hated them ruled over them. Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand. Many times did He deliver them, but they provoked Him with their iniquity. Nevertheless He regarded their affliction when He heard their cry. And He remembered for them His covenant and repented according to the multitude of His mercies. (Ps 106:34-35)
We’ve often heard that passage in reference to abortion, and it applies, no doubt. But these words by Phillip Mauro were penned in 1920, long before the legalization of abortion.
“Is there not a sense in which the “sons and daughters” of believing parents are being similarly sacrificed in our day to the modern idol, “Education,” by being subject, in their innocence and ignorance, to educational processes designed to prepare godless people for “careers” in a godless world? Has there not been much “innocent blood” spilled in this way? This should be seriously pondered by people of God to whom He has entrusted little ones to be taught – not heathen philosophy, and science falsely so-called – not worldly accomplishments, but – His ways and precepts. In the writer’s booklet, “Believing on the Son of God,” this important matter is discussed. At this point, it must suffice to say that among the things which believers’ children learn at school, those which are useful in the true sense of the word, are very few and are easily taught them at home. On the other hand, the things they learn which are harmful, and destructive to truth and godliness, are many, and the influence of these, in most cases, abides.”

Who are they targeting with insane “woke” ideals today? The children. Who are those ideals serving? Of course not the children. They are serving the hatred of innocence, encouraging an entire generation to reject and mutilate their beautiful God-created bodies. Where are these ideals being taught? In the public schools (yes, and on television and the internet too), but once again, in the EDUCATION SYSTEM… the modern Mystery Schools.
The beginnings of a dramatic decline in faith (through a blending of faith with scientific philosophy) which lead to a decline in morality in society (mid-1800’s onward) directly coincides with the establishment of the public school system (apx 1840’s) and implementation of compulsory public education (1920s).
Is all the elaborate “science” and “technology” we have today really an “advancement” for society as a whole?
Or is it a mixed-bag of good (surgical techniques, air conditioning, nice cars, etc.) and evil?
Just a spoon full of sugar…
Even today the indoctrination I received into scientific empiricism (philosophy / science falsely so-called) serves to hinder my faith in God to supply my need… chiefly my interpretation of just what that need is.
For God shall supply all our need according to His riches in glory in Jesus Christ. (Philippians 4:19)
That is a promise! It does not mean that we won’t face hardship, pain, lack or hunger. (And Americans have greatly distorted ideas of just what those things even are).

How much greater is the New Covenant / New Order (the REAL New World Order) in Jesus Christ the Son of God – in whom we can have true spiritual life?! The devil can do nothing to take that truth from the believer, so he’s working insidiously to deceive believers into seeking life in this futile, temporal world, leaving them powerless, ineffective. And he’s teaching his godless religion to our little ones under the guise of “knowledge.”
People, we’ve been duped. The Bible is true. Read it. Believe it.
