Hypnosis meaning
Hyp- Meaning “under “or “beneath”
Nosis ( as in Gnosis ) meaning Knowledge -Knowledge beneath in the subconscious mind.
Years ago before I became a Christian, I was a secular Counsellor and I was also a practicing Hypnotherapist and did a lot of Regression ( being regressed backwards to a point in time and past event). Most of the work was for clients who were experiencing Trauma or Alien Abduction experience. It is not something I continued with as I will discuss here and I am suprised to see many Christians practicing many esoteric based practicing and Hypnosis is one of them.
During hypnosis the person is put into a trance state OR another term is an altered consciousness state. This does affect the brain wave patterns and in this process the critical part of our thinking is diminished and our other senses are heightened ,like our mind in visualisations, our senses such as smell and hearing.
Opening up the mind in these experiences is no different to that of a person practicing meditation, which too can achieve an altered state and visualisations and relies on an intuitive mindset. Often receiving messages from so called spiritual guides. This is relying on the “self ”to lead to knowledge, but the altered state can also be a gateway /an open door to the spiritual realms . God doesn’t communicate this way ,and those spirits in those realms are not what you think they are. They are the demonic .It was not uncommon for my clients to feel a presence in the room ,some would say the ETs are here….and we know they are not really ETS.
The information from the Regression Hypnotherapy session often leads to people experiencing what they believe to be a past life or an event that happened. It can be an experience that seems so real and credible and in some instances, people have proven with records that a certain person did exist.( if it was a past life experience) But we can surely say that the “familiar spirits” are good at their game and often follow people and families for generations and would know such things. And past lives are a folly for the foolish, as our bible says
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. (Hebrew 9:27- )
Although I was always careful not to add suggestion to my client, I can see it to be dangerous and suggestive in the wrong hands even brainwashing or programming and can lead to false beliefs. The human mind is very suggestable. When a person’s “critical thinking” is turned off it is easier for them to believe what is presented ,even if something was from their own imagined perception, they may take that experience as if it were real.
The bible says we need to control ourselves not to give control to others (Galatians 5:22-23). In Romans 6:12-13 it says we need to submit to God and Romans 6:16 it warns against submitting our decisions to another.
Most people get Hypnosis for healing, however Jesus is the ultimate healer and no need for Hypnosis. “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” When we put the guards to sleep, our hearts are left undefended, which directly influences our actions. Even if the hypnotherapist is working you’re your benefit, the risk of danger is phenomenal.

This brings to mind our frustration today with people who seem to be unable to think critically and television’s hypnotic flicker rate. It’s an old topic that should be elementary to any of us who’ve been truth seekers for a while, but I think it warrants revisiting. I can’t count the number of conversations I’ve had about the millions of people, including Christians, who are allowing themselves to be injected with an experimental concoction to protect them against a non-existent “pandemic.” But it doesn’t stop there. Equally as hypnotized are the far right conservative patriots who get their “programming” from conservative news sources that are owned by the same (what is it, 5 now?) corporations.
They seem to be “hypnotized” or under a “spell”… because that’s exactly what they are. Amidst a myriad of technologies today including addictive social media apps and their algorithms, and the still-not-fully-known impact of the frequencies flying around in our atmosphere and the nano-poisoning of our air, food and water, we’re seeing the results of decades of television “programming.”
“It’s been demonstrated that well within two minutes of watching television, most people enter a hypnotic alpha state bordering on theta, [a trance-like state induced by the flicker of the television broadcast signal]. Viewers in this state are no longer able to critically evaluate, discern, or pass judgement from their own moral database on the material being viewed. The information just flows, unimpeded, into their subconscious year in and year out.” ~ Jeff Rense

Anyway, as Lee wrote, believers certainly have no business toying with hypnotism, and on that note I would add a reminder that those of us who watch television do so CRITICALLY. Pay attention to the subliminal message to our subconscious, be it predictive programming (causing us to accept changes when they come that we would normally reject) or our perception of events unfolding around us. Better yet, just turn it off altogether. But whatever you do, don’t make the mistake of thinking you’re immune. There are things we have little to no control over, but we are responsible for what we choose to put into our minds.

“The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12)
The U.S. government’s roll in controlling the thoughts of the public is well known and more documentation of it is coming out into the open all the time. This website offers hundreds of CIA documents revealing their complicity in mind control projects. Mind control is witchcraft. God hates witchcraft.
There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, (Deut 18:10-11)
and I will cut off sorceries from your hand, and you shall have no more tellers of fortunes (Micah 5:12)
Revelation 18:21-24 describes spells as part of the deception that will be used by the antichrist and his “great city of Babylon.” And Matthew 24:24 tells us that directly preceding Jesus return the deception would be so great that even the elect would be deceived if God did not protect us (Matthew 24:24). God will utterly destroy Satan and all those who serve and follow him (Revelation chapters 19-20).
But the Christian has been born again as a new creation in Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), we are filled with His Holy Spirit and exist under His protection (Romans 8:11). We know that
the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Brothers and sisters, our Lord has overcome him.
The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1).
Test all things, hold fast what is true. ((1 Thess 5:21) Take every thought captive! (2 Cor 10:5)
