Beyond Extraordinary Ep. 36: Joseph Lied with Rob and Tara Sivulka

Beyond Extraordinary Ep. 36: Joseph Lied with Rob and Tara Sivulka

This episode of Beyond Extraordinary kicks off what will be an ongoing series on cults. Especially cults that masquerade as Christian denominations.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is a uniquely American religion.  It got its start in New York with the Book of Mormon first being printed in 1830.  The Mormon founder and “prophet”, Joseph Smith, was an American, claimed that Jesus visited America, and that Jesus will return to America, specifically Independence, Missouri, where “The New Jerusalem” will be built.

Mormon doctrine veers off of orthodox Christian standards right from the start, literally by redefining the very nature of Jesus Christ, and yet many still see them as a branch of Christianity.  To help set the record straight, my guests on this episode will share their in-depth knowledge of what the LDS actually believes, and why we should care.

Rob Sivulka is the president of Courageous Christians United–a ministry that reaches out to all sorts of cults, false religions and philosophies.   A large part of that ministry has been to shed light on the truth of Mormon doctrine and to preach the true Gospel to LDS members in Utah and around the world.  He is the founder of mormoninfo.org and JosephLied.com, where he not only shows in detail how Mormonism differs from Christianity, but shares testimonies from people who have broken free from the LDS and have embraced true Biblical Christianity.

Rob’s wife Tara is a former member of the LDS.  After leaving the church and eventually becoming a born-again Christian, Tara married Rob and joins him in his outreach to Mormons and efforts to educate Christians about Mormon error.  Rob and Tara have two lovely children and live in West Jordan, UT.

  1. It is so wonderful to see that some Christians are very much awake as to what is happening in the world and just how many people are being deceived!

The only disappointment I noticed is that you did not catch on to the deception of the Sabbath Day.

Research into history and the ministry of Jesus Christ as well as all the Biblical Teachings, prove that Saturday is the Sabbath and by worshipping on a Sunday you are following the pagen teachings of the Catholic Church.

I know, I was raised Baptist and we were duped…..until I took the time to actually really read scripture and then took a look at the admission of the Catholic Doctrine and read the history of the churches.

It doesn’t take long to find that God/Jesus never changed the Sabbath to a Sunday! This was done by the Catholic Church!

This website truly speaks of the deceptions and I’m glad to see it, but please, please, please. find the truth of the Sabbath, because when Sunday law is passed again, most Christians will be worshipping the Beast by not worshipping on Saturday….the true Sabbath!

    • His Heavenly Armies says:

      Hi Tara,
I’m sorry, but you won’t find anything about Sabbath keeping on this site. It is law keeping, strictly taught against in the book of Galatians as well as the other epistles and a distraction from the gospel of Jesus Christ, which is repentance from sin, surrender and seeking to live with love, forgiveness and a pure heart. I hope you’ll take a few minutes and watch this playlist by Chris White. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oeqR9K21CVY
      Thanks for writing!
      Yvonne
