Revivals Pt 21: Counterfeit Enlightenment Pt6: The Image of the Beast

May 6th 2023 marked the coronation of King Charles III on Westminster Abbey’s famous Cosmati pavement. The magnificent mosaic, comprised of the spheres, cubes and serpentine patterns of Pagan Astrology, has served as the coronation floor of England’s Royalty since its completion in 1268.  Its central sphere upon which England’s royalty are crowned represents the center of the cosmos. In my last article I explained that the physicalized emanation Malkuth; “The Kingdom” /Earth is the Medieval product of Kabbala which was formalized in the same century as the floor’s installation.

…saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. (Rev 13:14b,15)

My friend and brother in Christ, Youtuber The Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction made a video about the pavement a while back. I’ll provide more information about the pavement and include his video in another article. But in the video he posed the question;

“What is the image of the beast?”

I was intrigued. I’d often wondered if scripture had anything to say about the grandest illusion ever embraced by all humanity (the Globe). So, I set off to study the image of the beast, and as I did, I became increasingly convinced that the physicalized emanation upon which we supposedly live does indeed fit.

Think about it; what are we warned not to be part of?

I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.  (Jn 17:15, 16)

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. (1 Jn 2:15-17)

Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. (Js 4:4)

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.” (Jn 18:36)

And what is the globe the image of?

But is the Globe an accurate depiction of the creation? Is it a biblical representation of where we are?

The Biblical Creation

Let’s start with the Biblical Model – It’s been there all along. Before roughly 1957 many King James Bibles contained an illustration of the Biblical creation. I remember seeing this when I was young and noticing that it contradicted what I was being taught in school. But I filed it away under “Surely the teacher knows.” Later it moved to “Surely the pastor knows.” But he didn’t. 😒

OK – Now let’s look at what Revelation 13 says about the IMAGE OF THE BEAST.

11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. 

12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, 

14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an IMAGE [G1504, eikon also Col 3:10] to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.  (Rev 13:6, 11-15)

The Embodiment of an IDEAL 🤔

Here’s what Phillip Mauro says about the identity of the beast in his study on the book of Revelation, “Of Things Which Must Soon Come to Pass,”

“Again it is said that the second Beast will cause an image to be made to the first Beast, and that he will give life, or literally “breath” thereto. Taking into account the figurative language of this prophecy, this may mean that the second Beast will supply, for the furtherance of the ends in view, a religious organization, or system of worship [ie. the RCC which endorses Scientism/Heliocentrism]. The word “image” eikon is used in Heb 10:1 in this very sense. Further it is said that he had power to give breath (pneuma) to the image, giving it, as it were, a voice, and power also to slay all who will not bow down to this eikon.

Hengstenberg, after referring to the great image which king Nebuchadnezzar set up, and which he required all the nations of his dominion to worship, comments as follows:

“The setting up of the likeness of the emperor was one of the most effectual means which heathen despotism could employ to place itself in the center of the world. By means of this image the beast rendered in a manner omnipresent. Its living representative, the Roman emperor, was convinced to no particular place. In this way the choice was set before Christians between martyrdom and apostasy.”

We do not have to suppose, therefore, a literal image of metal or other material, supernaturally endowed with life and power of speech.

AN IDEAL set before people’s minds as standing for the supreme authority to which they are to bow in adoring homage, would as well, or better, answer to what is stated concerning the image of the beast…

[T]he “life” (breath or spirit) “which… belongs to the image of the beast, is not properly residing in him, but flowing out of him along with the speech given to him by the wisdom of this world. It can only therefore, be an apparent life that is spoken of. The spirit is first given to the image of the beast in this way, that men’s minds are filled with exalted representations of the beast himself, and of his almighty power, in contrast to the supposed impotence of his opponent.” [“Mother Earth,” “Gaia”?] – Phillip Mauro, Of Things Which Must Soon Come To Pass, (pgs 419-423)

I also read through some commentaries:

Ellicott’s Commentary on Rev 13:15
“… the golden image is ever set up upon the plains of this world: its glitter and its vitality survive the storm and the conflict of the ages: it speaks, and men hear and adore, for they walk by sight, not by faith; and it needs no imperial or papal edict to doom to social death and failure those who refuse to shape their conduct by considerations of self-interest, and who are sure to be treated as fanatics because they follow right and conscience and Christ.”

Matthew Henry on Rev 13:15
…To worship the image of the beast… implies being subject to those things which stamp the character of the picture, and render it the image of the beast…

Pulpit Commentary on Rev 13:15
“This beast is permitted to give life, to impart spirit to the image; that is, he gives it an appearance of reality which a mere image could not possess.” source

Most of the commentators refer to the Pope, the Papacy, Papal Bulls, etc. when talking about the Image and Mark of the beast, abut while Mauro goes into the RCC at length as well, he goes deeper to reveal the power working through it.

The Mark of the Beast

The Image and the Mark are related. Both are symbolic. The Image is our perception of the world. The Mark is ownership by and servitude to the world.

And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. (Rev 15:2)

Here’s how Mauro explains it (keep in mind this was written in 1929).

“Hengstenberg… “[T]he named here are seven, the all first, and then the three pairs.” This points to the completeness of the authority of the beast, in that all classes of society are subject to it. Buying and selling is one of the commonest of the avocations of life. This may be a figurative way of expressing the abject servitude of the masses of people to the beast. But it may also, and in my opinion does, point to the development in the last days of this dispensation of a vast business organization, having its ramifications throughout the world, a monster “combine,” or “trust,” in such complete control of commerce and industry that none can, without its license, engage in any business – “buy or sell.” That we are fast heading towards such a system is apparent upon the face of current events. But, in order that its control may be as absolute as here indicated, it must be vested with super-governmental powers; and that too has been envisaged by the forward-looking minds of our day…  [T]here will be needed a superlative binding agent, to cement and hold together the divers part of such a titanic affair. And this is where the religious element comes in. For nothing else than a common religious bond would serve this purpose, and there is but one religion of world-wide extent, entering into the national life of all the civilized nations, having uniform ceremonies (the mass etc.), a common language (Latin), and iron-bound hierarchy, and a single head; and that, of course is Romanism*…

“Returning to the vision, it is to be noted that the privilege of buying and selling is to be enjoyed only by such as have the mark of the beast on their right hand, or on their forehead. In order to translate this into common language, we have first to remember that a brand, or mark, upon one’s person is a badge of the complete ownership of the one so marked by him whose mark he bears. It was common practice to brand slaves as well as sheep and cattle, with the mark of their owner. Therefore, to bear the mark of the beast is to be his servant. The right hand is the instrument of action and of strength. Hence to bear the mark of the beast on that hand signifies that the one so marked serves the beast in all his actions, and with all his powers. The forehead is the most exposed and most conspicuous part of the body; hence, to have the mark there is equivalent to an open acknowledgment of the beast’s ownership. These thoughts in connection with the hand and forehead appear in Scripture in a passage in which God teaches the respect to be paid to His Word by the people who had professed to give themselves wholly into His service, saying:

“And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart. And thou shalt teach them diligently to thy children, … And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes” (Deut 6:6-8)…

My own thought about it… is that the clue to the meaning lies in the words, “for it is the number of (a) man”, that is to say THE SUM OF ALL HUMAN ACHIEVEMENT…” – Phillip Mauro, Of Things Which Must Soon Come to Pass….. Pg 419- 424 (formatting added)

And there it is.

THE SUM OF ALL HUMAN ACHIEVEMENT

And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and LET US MAKE US A NAME, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. (Gen 11:4)

Globe Bias in Bible Translations

Enlightenment Globe bias is also in our Bibles. Just one example, in the King James Bible “aiōn” (G165) found in Heb 1:2 and Heb 11:3 is translated as “worlds”… where aiōn does not refer to cosmology at all but to “an age.”

αἰών aiṓn, ahee-ohn’; from the same as G104; properly, an age; by extension, perpetuity (also past); by implication, the world; specially (Jewish) a Messianic period (present or future):—age, course, eternal, (for) ever(-more), (n-)ever, (beginning of the , while the) world (began, without end).

That is NOT to say that God is not well able to preserve His Word! Remember that the Word of God is spiritual, it is alive (Heb 4:12), and no matter how men try to twist it, the Holy Spirit will give the born in spirit believer discernment when he earnestly searches it.

OK How important is all this?

The Gospel is about laying down your futile works of righteousness and trusting Jesus with your salvation whole-heartedly. So, in and of itself, cosmology is not a salvation issue. But consider:

HELIOCENTRISM:

Is SUN WORSHIP, so we might want to ask ourselves if Christians should be worshipping the Sun/ Helios/ Chronos/  Satan.

DIMISHES GOD’S WORD and elevates Enlightenment Science. It places faith in man’s reason/ the philosophies of man/ “science falsely so called” over and above the Word of God.

DRASTICALLY TWISTS OUR PERCEPTION OF GOD’S CREATION. Does it, in turn, affect our view of Christ (another “Christ”). 🤔 (serious question)

He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in. (Isa 40:22)

RENDERS GOD’S CREATION INSIGNIFICANT, turning earth into merely one of 9 wandering stars aka “planets” floating around among countless solar systems within a galaxy among endless seas of other galaxies that are rocketing through a never-ending universe.

PLACES GOD FAR OFF IN SOME MYSTERIOUS PLACE (talk about feelings of abandonment), indifferently watching over all the solar systems and worlds from a distance, rather than NEAR TO HIS PRECIOUS CREATION THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY SON TO REDEEM. 

Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings. (Psalm 17:8)

Opens the possibility of OTHER “GODS” of these other worlds as Mormonism teaches.

Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel, and his redeemer, the Lord of hosts: ‘I am the First and I am the Last: besides me there is no God.’ (Isa 43:10).

EVOLUTION: Without Heliocentrism, the Big Bang, Theory of Evolution and “Alien” Deception would not be possible.

ANGELS: Instead of looking up into the star-filled night sky to see the heavenly host maintaining their positions as they trace their majestic arc across the heavens, Heliocentrism turns the angelic beings into inanimate balls of fire, each with their own spherical “worlds” circling them.

Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host H6635 of them. (Gen 2:1)

Host: ṣāḇā’ H6635 masculine

A mass of persons or things especially organized for war, an army.

H6635 is usually used to refer to the heavenly host. In scripture, heavenly host refers specifically to angelic beings, as in “the heavenly host praising God” at Christ’s birth in Luke 2:13. It does not refer to celestial bodies or an inanimate cosmos.

And as far as the stars being “balls of fire,” there’s the little problem that fire doesn’t burn in a vacuum.

…I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple. (Isa 6:1)

BUT IT’S EVEN MORE IMPORTANT THAN THAT!

The Firmament in Biblical Cosmology is the PHYSICAL BARRIER that God put in place to divide the earth from the “the waters above” and throne room of God.

And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. (Gen 1:6).

And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible [H3372]: crystal, stretched forth over their heads above. (Ezek 1:22) 

And above the firmament over their heads was the likeness of a throne, in appearance like a sapphire stone; on the likeness of the throne was a likeness with the appearance of a man high above it. (Ezekiel 1:26)

 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind. (Rev 4:6)

Is not the Firmament a Physical Representation of the SPIRITUAL BARRIER BETWEEN MEN AND GOD; the barrier that can ONLY be traversed by PLACING OUR FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST?

Because

The GLOBE IMAGE BLASPHEMOUSLY breaches that barrier between heaven and earth (the Firmament) just like the Tower of Babel aspired to do.

Just as the builders of the Tower of Babel sought to do, THE GLOBE IMAGE REMOVES THAT BARRIER THROUGH MAN’S REASON. (Isa 14:14)

And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower H4026 whose top H7218 may reach unto heaven; H8064 and let us make H6213 us a name, H8034 lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. (Gen 11:4)

(I linked a few Strong’s definitions above which indicate the people desired to “break loose,”  to “make a name” for themselves ie. human accomplishment / exalting themselves above God).

The GLOBE IMAGE  ENLARGES THE DOMAIN satan was confined to when he was cast out of heaven.

Think about how much propaganda we’ve been subjected to since childhood about leaving the earth to find “hope” amongst the stars.

Ever notice how we fly through the sky in an airplane, but to go into space you need a spaceSHIP? 🤔

THE GLOBE IMAGE ERADICATES THE WATERS ABOVE which were partially responsible for destroying the Old World that satan had totally corrupted.

IT REPLACES THE THRONE ROOM OF GOD WITH AN ETERNAL VOID in the minds of men.

It’s Blasphemy.

THE GLOBE IS THE IMAGE OF THE BEAST.

And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. (Rev 13:6)
