Most Christians will agree that world events are unfolding to look much like the final days prophesied in scripture. And yet, most believers do not know, or choose not to know, or to give any thought to the reality of what is causing the events which are taking place around them. How many thousands of innocent men, women and children will be murdered such as they were in the Philippines before the church awakens and addresses the EVIL behind the events which are being played out on everyone’s television screen, as being caused by “mother nature”?
So many believers say to me: “These things are inevitable, what good does it do to think (or talk) about them?” or “It’s so hard to look at those things – I try not to think about them.” Or “We shouldn’t focus on these things” – and quote Philippians 4:8. Well, I have spent many days praying and researching, and I believe I have the correct response to them.
I asked myself the question:
What is the REAL reason we aren’t looking at these things?
Is it not because of FEAR? The same way we shut our eyes during a scary part in a movie?
Are God’s people supposed to FEAR?
NO!
We are to be a MIGHTY ARMY, BOLD, because we are armed with the TRUTH! TheLORD GOD, the MAKER OF HEAVEN AND EARTH is on our side!
Hebrews 13:6: So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”
Matthew 10:4-5: “And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.”
Isaiah 54:14: “In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.”
The scriptures telling us not to fear and to be bold and confident are endless……… But the opposite of fear is FAITH! It is our FAITH which overcomes the world!
It is our confidence in the truth that we carry in our hearts; our lack of fear, which speaks so powerfully to non-believers.
FEAR is the OPPOSITE of FAITH
The world must see the kind of faith that can boldly look into the face of terror and say “The Lord my God is with me!” “By Him I can run against a troop!” “What can man do to me!” if it is to believe that we serve the LIVING GOD and a RISEN SAVIOR in these perilous days!
Things are heating up quickly, and millions of people will be blindsided by the events that will unfold just as the people in the Philippines were. Blindsided, terrified, confused, people are easy to control. That is the enemy’s plan for world dominance.
We are to STAND WATCH
Ezekiel 33:6: “But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.”
Acts 20:31: “Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.”
I Corinthians 16:13: “Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.”
I Thessalonians 5:6: “Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.”
II Timothy 4:5: “But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.”
Ephesians 5:11-16: “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”
Reprove: To blame, to convince of a fault, or to make it manifest, to excite a sense of guilt.
Manifest: Plain, open, clearly visible to the eye or obvious to the understanding; apparent; not obscure or difficult to be seen or understood.
Circumspectly: Cautiously; with watchfulness every way; with attention to guard against surprise or danger.
II Corinthians 2:11: “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.”
and
Psalm 94:16&20: “Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?…Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?”
Jeremiah 5:26-31: “For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men. As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich. They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge. Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this? A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land; The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?”
WE ARE TO BE KNOWLEDGABLE:
Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”
We have watched war tactics and control of the masses throughout history, and we know that to control people, you only need to make them AFRAID.
Fear makes you POWERLESS
When you are afraid you cannot think clearly. Fear hinders your ability to fight back. This is the agenda of the evil one and those complicit with him in these final days.
Satan loves nothing more than to see people tremble at his horrors. How powerful God’s army would be if we stood fearlessly, fully educated and aware of what is being perpetrated on the earth!
BELIEVERS ARE TO BE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD WHICH OFFERS HOPE!
Believers should not be among those who are deceived! Many will be caught unprepared like the story of the virgins and the lamps. Many will believe that they are doing the Lord’s work when in fact they are following a false teaching. Don’t think that it couldn’t happen to you!
There is no higher calling than being a humble servant of the Living God. Jesus Christ is the light of the world, and His light shines on the hidden things to expose them so that people can repent of their wicked ways, come to Him and find life eternal. I believe we are to show people His light by presenting the world with a faith that looks boldly into the face of the terror around us, fully aware of the times we are in and the devil’s schemes being played out, and without skipping a beat, says; “Take heart! He has overcome the world! Follow me – Let me show you my God! Let me show you my Jesus!”
