Who Turned The Stars Upside Down?

Were you aware that sometime around the year 2000, someone flipped the stars upside down on the Republican Elephant logo? I didn’t notice it until someone recently brought it to my attention.

Prior to 2000, the Republican Elephant logo looked like this.

Apparently, at some point during the Bush administration, the Republican Elephant logo was changed to this.

The GOP logo looks like this.

The pentagram is sacred to Freemasonry(2). According to Wikipedia, Eliphas Levi (1810 – 1875), a French occult author and ceremonial magician called it evil whenever the five pointed star is displayed two-points-up.

Why on earth were the stars inverted on the GOP logo?

While the democrats’ donkey remains “stars right side up”, well… almost..
